Delete your account

You can delete your Klutta account and everything in it from inside the app, without asking anyone. Export first if you want to keep the catalogue — export is free on every plan.

Export first, if you want a copy

In the app, open the Account tab, choose Export, and pick CSV or PDF. The file comes out in your language and goes wherever your share sheet sends it. Do this before deleting; after deletion there is nothing to export.

How to delete

Open Klutta on your Android phone.
Go to the Account tab.
Tap Delete account, at the bottom of the list.
Confirm. The deletion is permanent and there is no undo.

Deletion happens in the app and only in the app — Klutta does not delete accounts by email, because an email cannot prove who sent it. If you no longer have the app, install it again and sign in with the same account: the delete button will be where it always was.

What gets deleted

Your accountYour sign-in and your membership of any household.

Your photosEvery photo stored against a spot or an item you own.

Your catalogueThe rooms, spots and items of a household where you are the last member.

A shared household staysIf other members remain, the catalogue belongs to them and continues without you. Delete the rooms and spots you want gone before you delete your account, or ask the other members to.

Purchases are Google'sDeleting your Klutta account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Klutta Plus in your Google Play account, and ask Google about a refund.

Backups are kept for 7 days, so deleted data can remain in a backup copy for up to that long before it ages out.

Smaller deletions

You do not have to delete the account to delete something. In the app you can remove a single item, a whole spot, a room, or just your own membership of a household. And if you would rather Klutta kept no photos at all, turn photo storage off on the Account tab instead — with it off, nothing you photograph is retained.
